Bud founded BlueSky based on the simple concept that integrating value investing with ESG analysis can better manage risk and enhance long term returns. Having spent nearly a decade immersed in the field of sustainable investing, he recognized the need for more sophisticated approaches to ESG integration. As an investment consultant and partner at RLP Wealth Advisors, Bud has been performing ESG research, investment manager due diligence and recommending solutions to institutions and high net worth investors for many years. Bud graduated from Dickinson College in 1995 with a B.A. in History. He was a contributing author to the 2012 book, Evolutions in Sustainable Investing, and the 2016 book Sustainable Investing: Revolutions in Theory and Practice.
Ronald E. Dornau
Ron is a portfolio manager with over 25 years of investment experience having worked at Brandes Investment Partners, Morgan Stanley, Silchester International Investors, and Lazard Asset Management. He received a B.A. in economics from Syracuse University and an M.B.A. in finance from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. He has also completed Columbia University's Value Investing Program and Northwestern's Forensic Accounting Program. He is also a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts.
Chris Matyszewski, CFA
Chris is a portfolio manager with over 20 years of investment experience having worked at Brandes Investment Partners, Federated Investors, and Credit Suisse Asset Management. He received an M.B.A. in International Finance from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and holds a B.S. in Finance from Villanova University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts.
Andrew is primarily responsible for quantitative and ESG investment research. He has been a key team member of BlueSky since the firm’s inception in 2015. Andrew graduated from Dickinson College in 2011 with a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics. For his honors thesis he analyzed how methodology factors in the Consumer Price Index may have led to the housing bubble in 2007. Prior to joining BlueSky, he worked as a quantitative consultant for facilities management in higher education.
Cary’s primary responsibilities include ESG research and integration. He is an independent author, editor, advisor and educator on the subject of business, sustainability and investing. He is a seasoned veteran in the field of sustainable investing notably participating in the original expert panel that helped create the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment in 2005. He currently teaches classes on business and sustainability at Yale, Brown University, the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, and previously taught at Columbia University. His books include Sustainable Investing: The Art of Long Term Performance and Evolutions in Sustainable Investing. He is a Director of the Network for Sustainable Financial Markets, Editor of the Journal of Environmental Investing and Co-Founder of the Carbon Tracker Initiative.
Dr. Stephen Erfle
Dr. Erfle is responsible for our quantitative research and implementation, employing a rigorous academic framework and approach. Dr. Erfle is Professor of International Business and Management and Chair of the Department of Economics at Dickinson College, where he has been teaching since 1989. During the late 1990’s, Dr. Erfle helped found the International Business and Management Department and major at Dickinson College. He has also taught in the Economics Department at Dickinson College and in the School of Social Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Erfle received a B.S. in mathematics and B.A. in economics from the University of California, Davis, and a M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. He is coauthor with Phil Young and Paul Keat of Managerial Economics: Economic Tools for Today’s Decision Makers, 7th edition, Pearson Education, and he recently authored Intermediate Microeconomics: An Interactive Approach, Textbook Media Press.
Tina presently serves as Client Concierge at BlueSky Investment Management. Tina has over 11 years experience in the financial services industry, working both in the US and UK. She currently assists with client service support, handles any operational related needs, and processes all service requests for clients and outside advisors.
